Milk and Honey has been in operation since 2002, however it is very much suited to the older generation. It is one of Soho’s best loved bars, not to mention that it has also recently won the Best Bar in 2004 at the UK bar awards. Inside you’ll find three separate floors, which support a range of intimate booths, counters and lounge areas. If you aren’t a member of this bar however, then you’ll need to book a reservation. Milk and Honey is very famous for its cocktails, using the best and finest ingredients to ensure a top result every time. They also use fresh ingredients, hand squeezing oranges, lemons, limes and apples every afternoon to provide that personal and unique experience.
Unique Features
The bar owners put their glasses in the freezer at -40C to ensure that the drinks stay cold for a long time after you order. That is a great feature for those who just want to relax with a cool cocktail after work, without continually walking to the bar for extra ice. The staff also use both shaken and stirred methods, to ensure that each drink gets the perfect mix without diluting the mixture. Another unique feature of this bar is that they craft the ice by hand, using an ice-pick to flay the ice away from the block, providing ice that is cleaner and denser as a result.
Inside the Bar
Inside this bar, you’ll find a very warm atmosphere that uses dark woods and orange tones to create a feeling of comfort. You’ll also find that each table has a lit candle, so this place is great for that romantic getaway. Whatever you choose, Milk and Honey is a great bar if you want a quiet night away, just make sure that you book in advance to gain access.
